California College of the Arts recently opened its New Materials Resource Center in San Fransisco. In development since 1999 and costing about $75,000, this library features over 1,800 samples CCA students can get their muffin grabbers on. There’s a browsable web interface anyone can use to figure out what they’re looking for before they show up and begin drooling over all the samples. Nobody wants to clean that up.
