Instructables: Table for Electronic Dreams

table_electronic

I know this might not be such a materials-and-processes-for-industrial-designers post… but I thought this was cool…

The Table for Electronic Dreams was the winner of Get the LED Out! Contest from Instructables. They asked their users to show off some creative and useful uses for LEDs and they got a ton of entries. The winner constructed a table which reveals the hidden electrical activity of electronic objects placed upon it.

Check out the video… While both eerie and beautiful, it also made me feel a bit of the heebie jeebies about the EMF’s coming off all my electronic devices…

By the way, this is a great way to introduce you to Instructables if you already didn’t know about it… It’s a great place to learn how to make and do stuff submitted by other users…
